- Sioux Center Harvest Festival -- 10:00 AM
The Sioux Center Harvest Festival will be Friday & Saturday, September 19 & 20. Buildings open at 10:00 AM. Exhibits include threshing, butter making, a black smith, rope making and other activities. Maid Rites will be for sale at the Doc’s Café Building.
- Maurice Broasted Pork Chop Supper -- 5:00 PM
The Maurice Town & Country Booster Club is sponsoring a Bake Sale and an all-you-can-eat Broasted Pork Chop Supper from 5:00 – 7:30 PM on Saturday, September 20, at the Maurice Community Center. Cost is $10, with children 4 years and younger eating free.
- University of Iowa Symphony Orchestra Concert -- 7:30 PM
The University of Iowa Symphony Orchestra, as guests of NISO, will perform on Saturday, September 20, at 7:30 PM in the Dordt College BJ Haan Auditorium. Tickets may be ordered via e-mail at NISO@Dordt.edu, or by calling 722-6230. Tickets will also be available at the door.
- "The Bridge" Volunteer Training Session -- 9:00 AM
“The Bridge”, providing transitional housing for women & children who are homeless or near homeless, is looking for volunteers. There are two training sessions available. From 9:00 PM – Midnight on Thursday, September 18 or from 9:00 AM – Noon on Saturday, September 20.
