    An independent Dordt College student production group will present their full-length film “I Was Living Here” at 3:30 PM on Friday, May, in Science Building Classroom S108.

  • Dordt College Band & Orchestra Concert -- 7:30 PM
    The Dordt College Concert Band, Chamber Orchestra, and Campus-Community Band will present a concert Friday, May 1, at 7:30 PM, at the B.J. Haan Auditorium. Admission is free, with a free-will offering received to benefit music scholarships at Dordt College. Following the concert a Jazz Band Soirée will be held at the Campus Center at 9:30 PM.

  • Sioux County Oratorio Chorus' Presentation of Handel’s "Messiah " -- 7:30 PM
    The Sioux County Oratorio Chorus, accompanied by a chamber orchestra and featuring four soloists, will perform Handel’s Messiah at 7:30 PM on Saturday, May 2, at the Dordt College B J Haan Auditorium. Advance tickets are $7 for adults and $3 for students. Tickets at the door are $9 for adults and $5 for students. Advance tickets are available at Dordt and Northwestern music departments and True Vine and Dove Book Stores.

  • Skillet in Concert -- 7:00 PM
    Two-time Grammy nominated band Skillet will be in concert at 7:00 PM on Sunday, May 3, at the Clay County Regional Events Center in Spencer. Doors open at 6:00 PM.  Joining them will be Disciple and Decyfer Down. Tickets are $19.50 advanced, $23.50 day-of-show, and $16.50 for groups of 15 or more.   • Valley Male Chorus Concert -- 8:00 PM
    The Valley Male Chorus will present their final concert of the season at 8:00 PM on Sunday, May 3, at the Rock Valley Trinity Christian Reformed Church. A freewill offering will be taken for the benefit of those with disabilities who are receiving services through Hope Haven, both locally and around the world.

Bedding plants, flower planters, and hanging baskets will be for sale, with proceeds going to the Auxiliary to directly benefit patients and families of the health system.

    Dordt College 2009 Commencement will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, May 8, in the BJ Haan Auditorium. Dr. Charles Veenstra is the speaker, with the topic "Children of the Light." Seating in the BJ Haan Auditorium is by ticket only, but KDCR will carry Commencement live on the air.

  • Maximum Impact Leadership Simulcast Event -- 8:00 AM
    The Orange City Dover Church is hosting the Maximum Impact Leadership Simulcast Event on Friday, May 8. This all-day event features John Maxwell, Tony Blair, Jack Nicklaus, and many others. Doors open at 7:00 AM, with the first session beginning at 8:00 AM and the last session ending at 3:00 PM. Tickets are $49 per person, or 4 for $179 until April 30.
