The “Enjoying Early Childhood Education”, for Early Childhood Professionals, Preschool Teachers and Child Care Providers, will be held Saturday, April 2, from 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM at the LeMars Convention Center, Lower Level. Andy Crouch, senior editor at Christianity Today International, will visit Dordt College on Monday, April 4. He will present “Live More Musically: Clues From the Arts for the Christian Life” at 11:00 AM in the B.J. Haan Auditorium. His 7:30 PM presentation in Science Building Classroom S101 will be entitled “Playing God: Creativity and Cultural Power”.

Over 400 high school and Dordt College students will perform in the High School Band Festival at Dordt College on Friday, April 15. The concert begins in the B.J. Haan Auditorium at 7:00 PM with performances by individual bands. The evening will conclude in the DeWitt Gymnasium where the bands will combine for a mass band performance.

Dr. Kevin Timmer, professor of engineering at Dordt College, will present “Energy Stewardship at Home,” featuring several energy conservation practices and renewable energy technologies that could be done in any home. The presentation will be held at 7:00 PM Tuesday, April 26, in SB108 in the Dordt College Science and Technology Center. At 8:00 PM, Timmer will lead a tour Dordt’s solar hot water system.

A “Church Leaders Conference” will be held at Northwestern College on Tuesday, April 26. Featured speaker is Rev. Scott Hoezee (hoe-zay), pastor, author and director of Calvin Theological Seminary’s Center for Excellence in Preaching. He will give two morning addresses on “Preaching the Text, Proclaiming the Gospel”, and conduct a question-and-answer session following lunch.
