- Viewing of "Welcome to Shelbyville"
"Welcome To Shelbyville" is a film that tells the story of a small town in Tennessee whose residents are faced with challenges, fears and uncertainty about immigrant and refugee newcomers to their town. Viewings of the film will be followed by a discussion about how our communities are changing and becoming more diverse.
The film and discussion will be held in the following locations:
Monday, April 23 – 12:30 – 2:00 PM – Sheldon NCC Dining Room, Building A
Monday, April 23 – 7:00 – 8:30 PM – Sioux Center TePaske Theatre
Tuesday, April 24 – 7:30 – 9:00 PM – Orange City Northwestern College, Vermeer Dining Room
- Greater Sioux County Genealogical Society -- 7:00 PM
The Greater Sioux County Genealogy Society will meet at 7:00 PM on Monday, April 23, at the Sioux Center Library meeting room. Frank Postma will present "Making Rest Haven Visitor Friendly". Everyone interested in genealogy or the program is welcome.
