The Dordt College Music Department is hosting a lecture and recital by Kristen Elgersma, a doctoral candidate in piano performance and pedagogy, on Saturday, March 1, at 7:30 p.m. in the B.J. Haan Auditorium. Elgersma will present "Cowell, Crumb, and Company: Extended Piano Techniques in the 20th Century." The public is welcome to attend.

- Legislative Forums
State Senator David Mulder and State Representative Dwayne Alons will hold public forums on Friday, March 7. They will be at the George Pizza Ranch at 10:00 AM, at the Rock Valley Cedar Rock Grill at Noon, and at the Inwood Market Place Grill at 2:00 PM. The forums are free and open to the public. This is your opportunity to discuss legislative issues with your elected officials.
- New Zealand Travelogue -- 7:30 PM
A New Zealand travelogue, sponsored by KDCR, will be presented at Dordt College's B.J. Haan Auditorium on Friday, March 7, at 7:30 PM. Tickets will be available at the doo: $4.50 for adults, $4.00 for senior adults and $3.00 for students.

The lecture will focus on how persons in rural areas are under-served in terms of mental health care needs and how mental health agencies can offer creative methods for meeting these needs.
