- Hull ARC Dinner & Auction -- 5:00 PM
The American Reformed Church of Hull will host a Dinner and Auction on Wednesday, February 1. Dinner will be served from 5:00 – 7:00 PM, with the auction to follow. Freewill donation proceeds go towards the A.R.C. Building Fund.
- “Ag Decisions 2012” -- 9:00 AM
“Ag Decisions 2012”, which will take a look at local and global outlooks for agriculture, will be held from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM on Wednesday, February 1, at the Sioux Center New Life Reformed Church. - “Annie’s Project" -- 1:00 PM
“Annie’s Project", a 6-session course designed help farm women to build networks and manage and organize critical information, will begin on Thursday, February 2. Sessions will be held on 6 successive Thursdays from 1:00 – 4:00 PM at the Sioux Center Public Library. The cost is $75 per person. Pre-registration is due by January 27. - “Heartland Walk for Warmth” -- 6:00 PM
The “Heartland Walk for Warmth” will take place at 6:00 PM on Thursday, February 2, at the Sioux City Westroads Mall. Entry fee is $20 per person, with children under age 18 free, when accompanied by a paying adult. Registration will be onsite the evening of the walk.
- “Men in Dress” Style Show -- 6:00 PM
As a fund raiser for the Sioux County Heart Walk, a “Men in Dress” Style Show will be held in the lower level of the Sioux Center Corporate Center on Thursday, February 2. - Crop Production Research Results Presentation -- 9:00 AM
A program for corn and soybean producers to share results of crop production research conducted at Iowa State University Northwest Research Farm will be held on Tuesday, February 2, at the Spencer Schools Administrative Building. Registration begins at 9:00 AM; the program will follow at 9:30 AM, and the morning will be concluded with lunch. The cost to attend is $5 per person. Haan Auditorium. His topic will be “Grandpa is Using Your Credit Card: Fixing the Moral Deficit.” On Monday, Sider will present “Fixing the Moral Deficit: A Balanced Way to Balance the Budget” at 11:30 AM in the B.J. Haan Auditorium. These community learning experiences are free and open to the public.

- Lexture / Panel Discussion on Child Abuse & Neglect -- 6:30 PM
Dr. Jeanette Harder will speak on child abuse and neglect at 6:30 PM on Wednesday, February 29, in the Dordt College Science Building Classroom SB101. She will share how churches and their communities can be partners in preventing child abuse & neglect, and in strengthening families. Following her presentation, a panel of professionals who fight child abuse in various ways will answer questions from Harder and the audience.
